9Bach are Martin, Lisa, Esyllt, Jules and Ali. They sing Welsh folk songs arranged for guitar, harp, drums and bass. Maybe they break all the rules of folk music, but 9Bach play these familiar songs like you've never heard them before.

AC-BC are acoustic guitar duo Andy Cairns and Bruce Cardwell, both individually well-known in Wales and beyond as performers of traditional music. In this new collaboration their distinctive arrangements combine fingerstyle and plectrum guitar styles. Their material reflects Bruce's roots in Northern Ireland and Andy's background in the English and Morris dancing traditions.

Aderyn Prin has been a respected fixture amongst the North Wales twmpath/ceilidh/folk scene since the mid nineties.

‘Alaw’ is Welsh for melody, and it is a love of melody that is at the heart of this new trio. Drawing on a great wealth of musical experiences Alaw take their audiences on a musical journey - a tune brought back from a tour in Bulgaria or collaboration in India - but at the heart of their set is a passion for the old tunes of Wales.

One man and his guitar...Indie folk artist, all original songs, in both Welsh and English.

Our experience encompasses everything from a German Medieval Festival through the Millennium Dome to a stately home wedding in North Yorkshire. Festivals played include Trowbridge Village Pump, Dolgellau and in 05 Lorient. Twmpaths to concerts - challenge us!

I'm a harpist who plays traditional music on both the triple and celtic harps. I've performed extensively here in Wales and the rest of the UK as well as Europe. Workshops are also a part of my work, as is working with other traditional musicians.

Performances of songs and stories from mythology, legend, historical characters with a contemporary twist. Workshops in singing (particularly for those who would like to sing but lack confidence) and songwriting. Based in Pontypool, but prepared and happy to travel to wherever the work is.

Band Arall are a Welsh folk band, available for various events - weddings, gigs and folk dances.

Band Y Braichmelyn has been in existence since the late 80's.  The core line-up of the band is button accordion, banjo (and/or guitar), and bass guitar. This gives a punchy, lively sound that can react to the dancers. In appropriate venues we can add drum kit to drive the whole thing along, but it's not necessary on every occasion. The Bear Band is a Swansea Valley based ceilidh band playing a broad range of traditional dances from Britain, America and Europe.

The musicians also perform as Bear Bones, playing folk-clubs and pubs.

The Bethlehem Village Band brings together musicians who are passionate about playing for dancing: Twmpath/Ceilidh and European couple dancing. This group of friends have been playing together for a number of years and all live in and around the famous village of Bethlehem in South Wales, which lies above the south bank of the river Towy in a landscape rich in history and mythology.

Songs and harmonies from Wales, England, France and beyond, mostly traditional with the odd surprise, in original arrangements accompanied on guitar, octave mandola and bowed psaltery. Cardiff-based but happy to travel.

Bob Delyn is the alter ego of one of the towering figures of contemporary Welsh music and poetry, Twm Morys. A recognized poet in his own right, having won the chair in the National Eisteddfod of Wales for poetry in the 'strict'

Crwth, lyre and voice duo singing Welsh poetry and music from the 6th-19th century.

Brandywine pick and sing Bluegrass which is noted for powerful singing and sharp instrumentals. Our speciality is to play for the Brandywine Appalachian dancers, full team or solo flat-footers, so we are not just another band. The music has been called Country Music on Overdrive. We are based near Cwmbran for our weekly practice nights. 

BRIGYN are brothers Ynyr and Eurig Roberts from Snowdonia, Wales. Their sound is a mixture of modern folk music, crafted rhythm loops and lush, expansive orchestral samples. The brothers admit to being influenced by various music ranging from Bjork's electronica,

Stonking Cajun and Zydeco from one of Wales finest bands with new album out now (Dwy Daith). Have appeared at Lorient, Sesiwn Fawr, Radio Cymru Road Show, and many Welsh Language TV shows.

An exciting young five piece band who are setting fire to Welsh traditional music. Calan have gone from strength to strength since their first gig in 2006 and have worked with artists such as Sian James, Crasdant, Maartin Allcock (Fairport Convention, Jethro Tull) and Paul Burgess (10cc).

Carreg Lafar has changed many peoples' view of traditional Welsh music with their lively performances. The group presents a vibrant mix of traditional and original material, rooted in the language and living tradition of Welsh song and dance music, arranged for fiddle, flute, pibgorn (hornpipe), pibau (bagpipes) ...

Carwyn is available to perform as a professional folk harpist in all parts of Wales, and beyond. He sings traditional and new songs and melodies on the knee harp and the Welsh triple harp. In 2001, he released his first CD, "Alawon o'r Stryd". He is a former member of Ffynnon and Ysbryd Chouchen, and in 2012 he recorded with the triple harp on the latest CD of Fflur Dafydd

Cass is a professional crwth and fiddle player specialising in Welsh music.

Cass and Nial have been playing together as a duo since 2002 - guitar, fiddles, voice and crwth. Their repertoire is traditional Welsh songs and instrumentals, and also self composed material which fits seamlessly into the genre.

Catrin can turn her hand from hauntingly beautiful airs sung in her native Welsh, to rowdy Irish drinking songs accompanied only with her Bodhran.

The music we play starts with traditional dance tunes from wherever we can get them -Wales, Scotland, Ireland, America, Canada, France and beyond ... but then it gets the Cats' treatment! Our line-up is melodeon/mandola/harmonica, electric and acoustic fiddle, flute, guitar/bass and bodhran/drums; enough musical variety to suit an intimate concert venue or fill a HUGE hall with dancers.

Elaine's Morgans Circle of Fire have come from diverse backgrounds and styles to create a unique vocal sound, that takes you on a journey through Folk, Rock, Blues and Jazz to soothe and uplift, whilst maintaining the unimistakable inflection of their Celtic Heritage. Singing in English, Welsh, Breton, and French; also experimenting with world Rhythms. 

I'm a harpist who enjoys performing traditional Welsh music on the triple harp, Celtic harp or pedal harp. I'm available to perform at weddings, concerts, or to teach adults and children.

Elfen are an exciting partnership in new Welsh folk music. Helina Rees on fiddle and Stacey Blythe on accordion, harp and vocals; they are inspired by Breton, Appalachian, Welsh, Irish and bluegrass styles and are a fresh and compelling duo whose music is filled with imagination and beauty.

FFYNNON perform music deeply rooted in the traditions and landscapes of Wales and features singer Lynne Denman, Stacey Blythe on accordion, harp and voice, Sille Ilves on fiddle, hurdy gurdy, bowed lyre and voice and Martin Leamon on guitar, bouzouki and melodeon.

Fran has been playing melodeon and now fiddle for xxxx years, specialising in Irish trad also Welsh trad and other celtic tunes.

Glenda Clwyd is an experienced and versatile harpist who performs both classical music and the traditional music of Wales in her own unique style.

The Grassie Busville Band are Nette Williamson (melodeon), Elsa Davies and Gwilym Hardy (fiddle) and Ceri Owen-Jones (harp and caller). Based in Mid Wales, they play a mixture of traditional tunes and Nette's original compositions for dances and events.

Guto Dafis sings songs of broken hearts and dysfunctional relationships, usually from the Welsh tradition (in Welsh), and occasionally the odd self-penned number, Bob Dylan cover or blues (in English). He accompanies himself on the melodeon (or two-row diatonic button accordion, or whatever you like to call it!). He also plays tunes (usually Welsh), and from time to time enjoys playing for Breton dancing (whether Breton tunes, or Welsh ones which fit).

HARRIET EARIS is a young Celtic harpist living in Aberystwyth and a winner of the Danny Kyle Open Stage award at Celtic Connections 2007.She performed solo in the Albert Hall and in the 02 Arena in London as part of 'Young Voices' 2007 and has a busy touring schedule with regular tours of the USA (to over 25 states), Germany, France, Holland, Belgium, Ireland and Canada. In recent years, IAN ROWLANDS has been performing professionally as a solo guitarist and singer playing original material and traditional ballads in both Welsh and English.

Father and Son duo Hieronymus are: Dylan Cairns-Howarth who is a Welsh Champion fiddler and a skilled player of the melodeon and hurdy-gurdy; His Dad, Andy Cairns, plays mandola, bagpipes and an assortment of acoustic guitars. His fingerstyle guitar has been likened to the “folk baroque” of John Renbourn. Their repertoire is mainly traditional music from Wales, Ireland, England and Brittany in unique and distinctive arrangements. The name Hieronymus is a reference to the 15th Century Dutch artist Hieronymus Bosch whose fantastical paintings included images of bagpipes and hurdy-gurdies.

Robin has championed the cause of the Welsh Triple Harp on a world-wide scale, through touring widely in many countries, introducing Welsh music to thousands all over the world.

Rusty Shackle formed in early 2010 and their infectious pulse, style and musical genre - whilst potently contemporary - is difficult to pigeon hole and has been described by Plugged In magazine as the “Bombay Badboy of Folk” a reference to the hottest Pot Noodle on the market. This said, elements of folk, rock, bluegrass, Celtic rhythms and Delta blues are clearly discernible. Either way, feet tap to whatever the specific nuance.
